Forget low-fat – eat dairy fat!
This is a blow to all those lowfat-nodairy worshippers: A study done by The University of Texas Health Center at Houston over a period of 22 years (!) found no link between dairy fats and cause of death or, more specifically, heart disease and stroke. Quite the contrary: The findings, published in the “American Journal of Clinical Nutrition”, say that one fatty acid present in dairy may lower the risk of death from cardiovascular disease, particularly from stroke!
Really, fat is good. Just ask Oetzi, the stoneage man discovered under ice in the Italian Alps in 1992. The recent analysis of his stomach showed that the 5300 years old mummy did not just eat vegetables, fruit and berries. No, he followed also a diet that was high in animal protein and fat. Scientists found remains of ibex and venison in his stomach.
In other words: Throw that lowfat stuff out.
